I created The Chocolate Cake Club to connect with busy parents or families by making their life easier or helping them celebrate everyday successes. As a wife, mother and entrepreneur, I need help to keep my life together and a smile on my face. Although my lifestyle is crazy busy, I wouldn't dream of giving any of it up. As I looked around I saw there were a lot of parents out there who had a great life but they were letting the day-to-day pressure run them down. They weren't smiling enough. There weren't enough "Chocolate Cake Moments" in their life.
What is a "Chocolate Cake Moment"? Think about sitting down and eating a piece of chocolate cake. How do you feel? Happy? Indulgent? Relaxed? As busy parents, we all deserve more moments with this kind of feeling.
My goal is to create a company that will be a trusted source for products to help busy families ease stress by organizing their busy lifestyle, encouraging kids to be more self-sufficient, maintaining strong family bonds even across distances, and finding must-have gifts and parenting products.We have searched high and low to find the best and highest quality parenting tools and unique gifts so you don't have to. Why the Name Chocolate Cake Club?
We admit there may be some confusion about the company name. While we don't actually sell chocolate cake, we hope that the products on our web site enable many "Chocolate Cake Moments" in your family, for both big occasions and the simplest of successes.
For us, Chocolate Cake means celebrations and family. At least in our family, chocolate cake seems to be a part of most celebrations - birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, or graduations. We remember our mothers or grandmothers baking chocolate cake for family events. Just thinking about it makes us smile.
Chocolate Cake also refers to indulgence or rewards. Families need to create and celebrate more Chocolate Cake Moments. Your son learned how to ride a bike without training wheels. Your daughter can go potty by herself - I can't think of a better Chocolate Cake Moment. Grandma and Grandpa are here for a visit, go ahead and celebrate. No one cried when you dropped them off at day care, have a slice of cake!
Finally, Chocolate Cake represents accomplishment or choices. "Have your cake and eat it, too," is a mantra in my life. Just because my life is crazy, it doesn't mean I can't stop, smile, and celebrate how rewarding it has become. But a little help never hurts.
